There is a classic Arabic tale of how a servant runs into the home of his Master with a terrified look on his face. “What has frightened you so?” inquired the Master. “I was in the marketplace,” replied the servant, “and I spied Death standing over in the corner. When Death glanced my way he had this strange look on his face. I know he is looking for me. You must help me; allow me to flee to Samara where I will be safe.” The Master granted him leave to flee to the adjoining town.

That afternoon the Master went to the Market where he also saw Death standing. “Death sir, may I inquire why you gave my servant a strange look earlier when you saw him here at the market?’ “It was not a strange look I had,” replied Death, "it was a look of surprise, for I had a date to meet him tomorrow in Samara!”

Very often, when we try and fine tune the Universe based on what we know and feel, we miss the larger lesson of the Universe. In Divination, we are supposed to listen to, and follow, the broad energy indications of the readings…we are not supposed to try and bend those indications to match our own short term fears or desires.

Those that promise you short term fixes may be sending you to Samara.
