Overview:

Each year, Ifá elders around the world perform Dafá (Ifá divination) on behalf of their communities. In the Diaspora, this is often referred to as the “Reading for the Year”—a collective divination conducted for the Ilé (spiritual house or temple), where members gather to study and honor the Òrìṣà. In keeping with this time-honored tradition, the Ifá Foundation has performed the annual divination since its founding in 1982.
 

The message that follows is offered to all members of the Ifá Foundation Ilé, their families, and to all who find resonance with the teachings, philosophy, and spirit of Ifá. May these words bring clarity, strength, and harmony as we walk together into the new year under the guidance of the Òrìṣà.
